I could have sworn that I wrote a blog post a while ago that should be sitting right where this one is. It would have said something to the effect of “Oh, hi, I’m home and my daughter never sleeps. Kthxby.”
I thought I had recapped my San Diego trip too, with mentions of smoky air and blurry blackberry pictures of sharks and sea lions. I also would have mentioned how delightful flying Midwest Express is, especially in the exit row. Even better when there is no one even remotely near you.
WordPress assures me that no such post was written, so I guess this is all you get. Oh, I got a new office at work, with a door even. That’s pretty cool. I haven’t had an office with a door for ten years.
Today I carted Nick to the park on my back in our funky yet functional Ergo Carrier, and then later walked to the coffee shop with Zoey attached to my chest in the Mai Tai. My legs, they tell me things now. Complainy things. The other complainy thing is KT, she’s sick because of the daughter that won’t sleep. Someone come over and babysit, including performing wet nurse duties overnight. Please?

Yes, please someone do that. Please? PLEASE?!?!
It’s a bit far of a drive — and well, the “bar” closed years ago.
But someday you may sleep.
